January 2024's Full Moon (Jan 25, 2024)
Happy Full Moon 🌝
Below is a written explanation of the meaning of each card:
Card A: Silver
Numerology: 25, 2+5 = 7 (spirits, spiritual number, an awakening)
If gold is the sun, then silver is the moon, casting a reflective surface like a shimmering mirror. Now is the moment for introspection, a time of quiet contemplation. Resist the urge to shatter what you've diligently built; you might not be at your destination yet, but that doesn't mean you're not on the right path. Think of the full moon as a pause, a moment to refrain from committing to new endeavors. Hold that energy for another two weeks.
Don't be disheartened; instead, use this time for review and refinement. Just like silver can tarnish, elements of your work might lose their luster. Grab your metaphorical cleaning cloth and start polishing. It's an opportune moment for journaling, energetic clearing, and visionary exercises. Connect with your guides and seek encouragement for the next step forward. Remember, this is a phase of refinement, and the glow will return with renewed brilliance. ✨🌕
Card B: Winter
Numerology: 16, 1+6=7 (spirits, spiritual number, an awakening)
In Alchemy, winter comes first. It is the beginning, the origin. Its stillness across the land makes us all turn inward. This card is inviting you to go inward, to take a pause. Perhaps you've ignored the signs to pause and persist in doing otherwise. This is reminding you to give yourself permission to take a moment of rest or relief from the busyness. This is not the time for doing, going, or getting. Find time this week to still the mind and heart.
In the tranquility of this stillness, discover the flicker of light that reconnects you to your true purpose and to what genuinely matters. A genuine alchemist understands that in stillness lies the gateway to the divine, where magic and miracles unfold. Embrace this moment of winter within, for it heralds the promise of a spring filled with new beginnings. 🌬️❄️
Card C: Smoke
Numerology: 32, 3+2=5 (changes, trickster, message or messenger)
Smoke has the characteristics of stealth-like and seductive, with its swirls and twists, rising and disappearing. It can travel great distances carrying scent. It’s also a warning sign of a flame near by. This card is calling your attention to something you cannot ignore. What kind of smoke is it? Is it warning you of any fire? Or is it carrying potentially seductive, delicious things on the horizon? Does the smoke carry notes of incense and herbs? Or is it laced with fear or destruction? The smoke card is asking you to wake up and become alert to what is happening around you. Those around you might not be aware. So don’t get distracted by their response. Stay conscious, follow your intuitions, and find out where the smoke comes from! 🌪️🔮
Card D: Oil of Vitrol | The Green Lion Eating the Sun
Numerology: 35, 3+5=8 (saturn-like energy: commitment, devotion, time; infinity)
In alchemy, the green lion eating the sun is a creator of change. So be ready, where longstanding frustration and imbalance can create outbursts. Be prepared for the emotional turmoil that is necessary to create changes that are necessary for growth and, in the end, will be a relief to all. This is a great time to do purification rituals if you are already in the thick of this emotional mayhem. Do not let yourself be consumed by the turbulence, and do not take the lessons you need to create change. This, too, shall pass. And as the discomfort passes, you will find yourself shining all the brighter! 🌿🌞
